We decided to experience some culture today, and visited Gyeongbukgang, the largest of the five grand palaces which remain from the Joseon era. It truly was a grand palace, and worth braving the heat to experience.
We found a Chinese Year Calender, everyone had fun finding their totem animal.
River, 2005, is born in the year of the Rooster:)
Amber and I, 1974 and 1998 respectivley, share the year of the Tiger.
Ruby,2003, is year of the Sheep:)
Beautiful views across the lake.
Hamming it up for the camera.
The old, and the new,
You shall not pass!
Korean Traditional guard dress, I think it is called a Jeonbok, which is worn over dongari.
The entrance to the Grand Palace Gyeongbukgang. Impressive stuff.
Changing of the guards, Korean Style.
