The rain was thundering down this morning, which added to the fact that I am feeling a bit under the weather with having caught the kids cold, added up equals no running today. I decided to take my camera down town to the market and see what I could find instead. The rain was holding back a bit, so I was quite lucky . Its a favorite pastime of mine to wander around with my Ipod in my ears and my camera at hand, its like a waking dream. Everyone is rushing passed, thinking, planning, talking...and you are there, but not really present. You are looking for something that stands out, a different take on the same scene. You are looking for the picture inside the picture. With some great tunes in my head and a mission in mind I could easily spend any given amount of time in this place...however, today I had only an hour whilst River was at playschool. Still, it was a welcome space to spend some peace in my mind.

Tonite the offspring are being watched by our kindly neighbours, and Jon and myself will grab a bite at the local indian on Texas street. Hopefully they will be relatively calm and behaved. I was pleased to find a small haberdashery this afternoon, and bought a bunch of ribbons. I plan to create some kind of modern art for the garden this weekend, maybe we will go down to the beach to walk and look for treasure to make garden mobiles with. Jon will be working this Saturday and Sunday as his project is moving to the Samsung shipyard, and they have to lift the derrick onto a massive crane and float it to the shipyard from where it has been constructed in Haechong. It will just be me and the kiddies, so I was thinking about some arty type projects we can get involved in...if the rain stays away!
