Last weekend Jon took the trainer wheels off of Ruby's bike. It was so cute to see her little expression all concentrated , and a wee bit terrified! She did really well, and has been practicing all week since. I can hear her shouting at the other two in a loud and very bossy voice to 'get out of my way because I'm learning to ride this bike and its very hard you know, and I keep falling off and falling down so just keep out of my way!'
I borrowed a macro lens from Bennie, some of these (very experimental!) pics are of my African Violet, which I miraculously haven't killed(yet) and various other artifacts from around the house. River finds this whole process very tedious, as I can't,obviously, pay attention to him at the same time as take macro photographs. He lets out an audible sigh when he sees the camera emerge from the study and me start fiddling about with arbitrary bits of junk to shoot. It's very good fun though!
